If you haven`t ventured to Nashville before then you are truly missing an amazing experience.`Yeah but it`s all country music` Er..no not at all .Was I surprised? You bet! Ok so being a musician maybe I`m a little biased but there`s just something about the people and the vibe in that music town.

I want to say a big thank you to Nashville Demo Studio owner,Jimi Whitelaw who set up an incredible 3 days of collaborative songwriting.A whole bunch of nationwide songwriters coming together to get the insider lowdown on the do`s and don`ts of music row plus an opportunity to work with some of the hottest session players in the business.

Thousands of aspiring wannabe stars flock to this town in the hope of pitching their songs and nailing a deal.Well it`s a whole lot tougher than you think especially these days with stiff competition and a bar that is set so high you need a rocket to reach it!

That said,persistence and luck as always play a major part in realising a dream.A big thanks also to music row producer Chip Hardy who scored the arrangements and kept the toes tappin`.

My cowrite for the weekend was with award winning writer Jay knowles, who has penned hits for George Strait,among others along with the talented
Tracy Maxwell ,a female writer from Ontario who helped birth our arrangement with some great lyrics.

The result,apart from making some great friends was a total of six songs
which ,after pre production meetings,were recorded live in the studio and finally mixed.My thanks to the hugely talented Britney Black for the vocals on our track `you already are`
